Is there a way to add a security code, encode to files to my external hard drive in the case of theft?
I believe PCDJ encodes the files to only work with your PCDJ and if files are stolen, they wouldn’t work on another computer.

I think there is no such option in VDJ.

Why dont you just use the Encrypt feature built into Windows XP?

Will the files be unable to be altered or removed and used on another computer without administrator password?
