I am using VDJ full version with video. I'd love to hear some opinions on these specs...
INTEL Core Duo T8100 (2.1 GHz)
4GB RAM
320 GB Internal Drive
Blue Ray Player w/DVD RW
NVIDEA 512MB 8600M graphics
VISTA Home Premium 64 Bit
17" screen
This laptop is on special at COSTCO right now, for $1,249. How do these specs sound? Has VDJ been working OK with VISTA?

VDJ works perfect for Vista if you use Video. That laptop sounds very good, but problem might be 64-bit OS as you might not have all drivers for devices you will be using. Also, people that use Video says that ATI works better on laptops (and overall) than on NVIDIA. This is mainly Nvidia's fault, as they often change their drivers for strictly gaming purpose, so other jobs are not covered as it should be. ATI is well known for good TV outputs overall and some more problems in games than Nvidia.

What would I look for that would be better than 64 Bit?

I have the same one and it works great.
The only issue I had was not being able to convert S-video to RCA to TV. I placed a simple converter between the S-Video cable and the RCA to TV and the computer would not see the TV but when I took off the converter and went streat to the S-Video into the TV it worked. Unfortunately not all Clubs have not updated there TV's as of yet. Not a big deal, just annoying
I got mine from Best Buy for $1,099. and it wasnt on sail.
