OK... it's not exactly Rewire but using ASIO4ALL (only for using multiple audio drivers in Ableton) and Virtual Audio Cable, you are able to route the output of VDJ into Live for plug-in processing, recording, whatever.... not sure how well it will work for you but give it a try... i guess you could use midi learn in VDJ and Live to set up your midi controller functions to apply to both programs using Midi-OX. Go here.. http://www.djtechtools.com/2008/04/04/smart-mixing-traktor-with-ableton ... i know it says Traktor but it works for me. and now you are not limited (some Ableton effects don't work correctly I've noticed like "Beat Repeat") to what effects you can use to process the audio from.
