What is the CPU bar at the top of the screen when your in video mode?

It's there to show you how much CPU usege you are using, because mixing video is heavy on you CPU.

sometimes when im just mixing music it will go all the way up, and i'll hear glitches.

You might want to go into your Task Manager and turn off some processes and see if that helps. Also if your connected to the net using a wireless card turn that off. It might help...;)

You can also change your performance settings in VDJ for faster instead of higher quality under config>performance tab.
