Sujet: Hip-Hop Sync skipping when mixing

I just want to know if anyone is experiencing a sync skip when mixing Hip=Hop music? When I'm mixing Hip-Hop and R&B music, I often try to press the sync button for a more thorough mix, and I find it making a huge pause-like skip. Can someone tell me what the problem is
