Sujet: Numark DMC2, finally got it home!

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Local vendor finally got my DMC2 in stock! woohoo!
I need to play around with it some, but I can't wait to try it out live..

sooo... to all of you who use one.... :)

Where do I start looking for any "tricks of the trade" for it??
IE: best skins that compliment the controller.., software is all stock right now, any recommended downloads? , Keyboard shortcuts that you use in conjunction?, any hidden functions that a newbie might not be aware of? Any config changes I should make to make VDJ more "controller specific"

thanx!!

Hi there glad you are pleased.

You may wish to try out the DMC2 mapper to allow you to customize the controller functions to your liking.\

The best setup with this controller is with a mixer, you may wish to look at the CM200 usb mixer.

if you dont want to use a mixer and are content to use the mix buttons on the dmc2 you could use a DJio to headphone preview.

Kind Regards

Hey hippy;

Both myself, and the guys over at CityPro have this unit. We all use it stock out of the box.

Plug it in, click enable and all the buttons are pre mapped for EXACTLY what they say the are. One of the reasons I like this unit so much is the fact it was tailor made for CUE/VDJ.

Just let it rip right out of the box, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I certainly was.

P.S. The strip Club has one now as well

Got one for sale actually, perfek condition

I will have to try and find that.. I don't use 'loops' very often, so it would be cool if I could find a secondary use for those buttons :)

Still using the CM100 3 years now.. damn thing won't break to allow me an upgrade..
Actually the main reason is I run 3 outputs from my computer to three faders on the mixer.. chan 2=effects/loops/preview, chan 3=deck 1, chan 4=deck 2.

Numark needs to come up with a 4 fader, 2 mic, USB mixer that fits into a 3U rack space.. for all us computer DJ's that DO NOT have a lot of rack space! Basically take a CM200 and make it smaller (maybe incorporate a digital equalizer and move the power supply outside ??)

:)

Got my DMC2 yesterday! It is a great unit, the only thing that I currently miss is the possibility to take over play when you press the cue button (in case you made a mistake by pressing the wrong button). Now a better browser mode in Cue, assignable output channels and we are ready to go!

I thought the channels are assignable??
Or just not with CUE?

I wish I could assign the output.

Other question does anybody know how to switch the DMC2 off when you powerdown the PC beside taken off the adapter?

I'm confused :) how would you assign the outputs, besides the options that VDJ gives you?
What are you attempting to do that VDJ won't let you?

Mine is just on the same powerbar as my computer..

Sorry for my short sentence. I want to assign different audio outputs then the channel 1 till 6 that Cue preselects. Because on output 10 I have the SPDIF in my soundcard and that is the one I will use.

ahhh! understand.. That is a problem.. Especially as some mixers now allow you to use digital inputs..

Your question might get a lot better answers if you start your own thread.. :)
