Sujet: Will Denon HD-2500 Work With VDJ?

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

The club where I have a monthly residency is calling and asking for my advice on the Denon HD-2500 as that is what the owner is looking at getting. Before I go giving good advice I was wondering will it work with VDJ? If so, what do I need to get it to work?

It would be great if I could get an answer on this by tomorrow so I can let the owner know while he is in a spending mood. :)

Thanks!

bump.

c'mon guys 24 reads and not a reply...yall chatting about everything else and joking..how about answering this so I can catch the owner in his spending mood. We all know how club tight club owners are so this is one of those rare chances to upgrade some things. :)

I'm just trying to find out if this will work with my vdj cuz if so no need for the tccds at this club anymore. :)

Hi
I think it was asked before, this unit does not have midi option so you can't use VDJ with it. It can only read media devices on USB port.

If the latest firmware from Denon is applied, it can be used as a general MIDI controller for VirtualDJ. However, unlike the Denon HC4500, this controller is not currently natively supported. You would need to map it manually via the General MIDI mapper.

Ahh. Well squat. Would probably be too much trouble to configure just for a once a month residency.

Can the HC-4500 be used with external usb drives, flash sticks, etc plugged in directly?

I'm looking on their site but not finding much.

No, it's a MIDI controller with built-in sound card only.

However, it can be used with a Denon dual-CD unit to allow playback from CD's. The CD units from Denon DN-D4500 and DN-D4000 CD players are compatible, or the CD unit can be purchased separately.

Okay thanks.

I just got word the owner has decided to get the HD-2500. Guess i'll stick to my timecodes or continue looking at getting the Vestax VCI-100.
