Been using the same computer for VDJ for the last 2 years without problem except lately when I load a song whether it be video, mp3 or karaoke at one point in the evening it slowly loads up while it's playing even when it had already been scanned. The waveform builds about 1/8 of an inch in front of where the song is actually playing. Theres been a time where the music stopped playing until the waveform advanced further. The next song I load can load really fast and then do it again. Last night it did it for a long time on a different computer as I thought it was a problem with my 2 year old model. I just built the new one this week and it's doing the same thing. Has anyone experienced the same problem? Is there a setting that I have wrong?
I have never had any problem in the past as I mix mostly videos and my computer handles it excellent.

Not quite the same problem but very similar.
It takes anywhere from 30 to 60 seconds to load.
This happens after about one hour, and it is on
my laptop. However this past Sat it started on
my shuttle system as well. Possibly these 2 things are related
Somewhere it was mentioned about it being the USB port.
Can't say that is the case with mine as I have switched USB's, but
it might be that in your case.

I don't use any usb external drives.... I found another post that mentions to set max load to "always" but my both comps are already set to it. Any other ideas?

Download and run Cel's registry tool, which can be found in the download section, and run it. I bet everything performs much better after you do so.....
