Sujet: Adjusting/Setting Gains, Etc

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

So I searched, couldn't really find what I was searching for; although I've seen the topic posted. However, I hope someone can help. I just got a call from a friend asking if I could DJ another friend's party. Sure, why not I say. I've talked to the host and she tells me it's a pool party (not sure how many folks). She only needs me IF the other DJ doesn't show up, however I HATE short notices. However I agree that I should be able to do it. She tells me speakers and mic will be there also, so that's a relief; however I've never played on a PA, just monitors. Basically same, just louder?

Not sure on a price either, I've done house parties and just charge a few bucks, however not sure how much to charge seeing this will last from 10PM-3AM/what's your guys input?

And last, the thing that's killing me is setting the gain. IS it just something I'm missing or everytime I load a new song I must readjust the gain, treble, mid, and bass settings? It really irks me b/c I run a TC controller and slightly moving the button sometimes messes my settings up even more. Is there a way I can set it to stay on a certain setting or am I stuck doing this? I've been meaning to ask this but just now actually remembered to post it.

Thanks VDJ fam,
Acizzle

Price is essentially dictated by your market. Have someone call around for you to get prices from DJs in your area (but not from your business line, LOL).

Go to config>options and disable reset EQ on load to keep your bass, mid, treble settings. Some songs are going to need tweaking, no matter what your bsic settings are. As far as gains go, I use "Auto + Remember" with good results. This way, if you do adjust a gain for whatever reason, VDJ remembers the setting for next time :)

Good luck at your gig ;)

I think there's no "Auto + Remember" on home version. Those are Disable/Always 0dB/Always Match only.
I set my own at Always 0dB where find adjust can be made all the time, if it needed to.
