I'm staring to notice that when I'm mixing to tracks and I hit the sync button and the cbg's align but not the peaks. I'm mixing basic house beats, and now I'm having to adjust the bpm everytime. Before 5.1 never had a problem, just hit sync and done. Should this be happening often?

You might need to work on some of your CGBs. Even though the beat engine in VDJ is very good it is not perfect. You can edit the CGBs by right mouse clicking on the song and selecting Edit BPMs.

Also just because in vdj it shows the peak as being there, it might actually be a fraction earlier or after. When you press sync in vdj it usually does a good job of getting the BPM aligned & do a good degree the songs matched, but often you will need to do a little pitch bend for them to be perfectly on beat.

There are 2 functions of synchronysation in VirtualDJ:
1) The basic one: synchro on beat : sync_nocbg()
=> Temporary synchro (to the nearest beat)
2) The advanced one: synchro on CBG : sync()
=> Global synchro
Depending on situations, both have advantages
