It doesn't matter, but I prefer Intel since Core 2 came out, best value for the money.

No scientific evidence, but my friends that run core 2 duos seem to need less specs and video card than my AMD's...I use two computers both with AMD Athlon 64xp Dual Core 4200+ Processors, 3 gigs of ram, one computer with NVIDIA 8600gt with 256 megs ddr3 onboard and one with 9600GT OC with 512 megs ddr3 on board and I still need to set the performance slider to "fastest" (1024 latency) and I still get slight video freezing when doing loops or loading a file where the cue point is set more than 10-15 seconds in on a song.
I have one friend has a dell core 2 duo running at 1.3ghz, only 2gb ram and an 8400gs mobile and runns smoother than mine.... so my next computer will be INTEL
