..according to this study. I always wondered why some people who I considered to be very smart do not vote. This explains it.

I find it curious the studie was done with twins (as identical genetic makeup as exists) bu tyet in only 1/2 of those studied did genetic makeup play a key role. Two questions, (1) why was it determined that only those who participated had a genetic factor, would the decision to not participating have also been a genetic factor? (2) How did they rule out environmental factors such as an upbringing in a family that was politically active or not.....
For me not voting is not genetic it is sociological, or more appropriately political...I simply don't believe the government we see are the real people controlling the political and economic realities of the world, consequently our votes simply don't count....no matter who wins, in the end they are simply figureheads for the real world powers placed there to carry out their agendas at our expense. Follow the money, follow the golden rule (he who holds the gold makes the rules).
