My wedding thread i started 2 or more months ago was locked so... lol

ugh its been a busy week. this summer has been a huge eye opener for a young high school student for me. in one week, ive done my first 2 club sets AND my first wedding reception. and damn may i say, i cant believe i did them so well when they are so different.

first id like to say thanks to all in my past thread who helped me. fatkatzdj, all the others who provided me with forms, thanks mucho - it gave me a very professional look.

ok the real wedding. it went very well with the exception with a bit small selection of jazz, dinner music, etc. bridal parties are ALWAYS late, there are ALWAYS people early and i cant just leave the room alone. so i ended up opening up itunes and jsut playing 3 cds of michael buble and jack johnson. lol yea i know.

everything went pretty slow, EVERYTHING until the last 2 hours... toasts, etc

i trusted my rather cheap wireless mic and it, while not flawless, practically paid for itself when it worked sooo well with so many objects between it and the reciever... audio technica ftw... cant beat 75$ ;)

we had only 1 hour of dancing. and i knew how to play the crowd. i had all 90 people on the dancefloor. everyone. i played to all requests - beatles, barry white, and only did 4 slow songs in that hour. did almost all the line dances, got a bit of confusion from the cupid shuffle (that the bride requested) but they worked it out and DAMN could they not keep a beat with the macerena. ugh. lol

but all in all... think i did pretty well. everyone had good remarks and were surprised how young i was yet i had my own business. handed out flyers and business cards, and a group of young 20 yr olds kept around my booth asking for my number and for baby got back ;) needless to say... GAVE IT TO THEM lol

a few people even inquired about dj programs, mixers, etc... so i felt OBLIGATED to recommend VDJ and he told me i was the 10th person to say that. good job vdj team.

final wish tho.

It's a nice feeling isn't it? Makes you want more when you see the pay vs effort.
