Hi guys,
going to have to pick your brains here but do you have any suggestions for a good speaker set up for the Hercules RMX, I am new to all this so beginners terms would be beneficial to me.
Basically its my uncles party and he has asked me to play a selection of tracks. At present my RMX goes through my PC using Creative labs t7900's in my spare room, obviously that's not going to cut it in the pub hall. I just wondered what I should be looking to get my hands on??
Also there is a hell of a lot of bleed on the crossfader on the RMX i presume my set up is all wrong, any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Masch

To stop the bleed, set the RMX in Asio mode, this should cure the crossfader bleed.
Try this for quick and simple set up mate. Take a RCA cable plug the first to jacks in to output 1&2 of the RMX and the other jacks to a Aux channel of a Amp, I suppose it will have to be a quite powerful one. The Amp then should supply the sound to the speakers.

If you need something mobile your best bet will be going with some nice active pa speakers. You probably won't go wrong with any Mackie, Yamaha or JBL active pa speakers.

HEY....WAS SUP! OK LOOK...I USE THE RMX ALOT AT PARTYS...ITS TIGHT. ANYWAYS...HERES MY SETUP........VERY GOOD TOO.
OK I HAVE A LAP TOP HP PAVILION DV6000, THE RMX, AND I HAVE 2 SELF POWERED 15 INCH JBL EON SPEACKERS THE ONES THAT GO ON STANDS.....NO NEED FOR A AMP. I CONNECT 2 AUDIO DIRECT TO THE SPEACKERS...NOT SPEACKER CABLE...BECAUSE SPEACKER CABLE IS GONNA MAKE NASTY NOICE. ANYWAYS ONE OUTPUTS 1,2 IN THE QUARTE INCH PLUGS....MONO. ANYWAYS....THATS ALL I NEED...SINCE THEIR SELF POWERED...NO NEED FOR THAT AMP....MAN THEY BUMP! LOL
IF UR GONNA BUY SPEACKERS....MAKE IT WORTH IT. CAUSE UR GONNA B USING THEM OVER AND OVER. OHHHH BY THE WAY....ALL THIS FITS IN MY ALTIMA...NO NEED FOR ANY TRUCKS...ITS MOBILE...AND NOT HEAVY AT ALL. LESS SPACE

Yeah, i use it straight into my Mackies SRM450s and it sounds fantastically clear and punchy. I like balanced outputs, so I take the RMX into an ART Cleanbox which converts from the phono connectors to an xlr balanced output. The soundcard in the RMX sounds great, especially if you use mp3 files at 320kbitsor Wav files.
Maybe theres less circuitry than going through a separate mixer so it seems a much clearer sound.
