I just did a party this weekend using visrtual dj 5.2 for mac, vestax vci 100, numark dj io, and macbook laptop. I had no problems at all everything performed rock solid. Thanks virtual dj team for making such a fine product.

now if we could only have the vestax-300 being native in the next update release.... seems like a worthwhile solution to a mobile video jock needs
soundcard, controller, midi.... (only thing.. it was created for serato itch)

I don't know any more than the rest of you, but my guess is, it will probably stay that way. I mean, if I was Itch, that would be part of my deal with Numark. Can you blame them?

VCI300 support can't happen, you can thank the folks over are itch for seeing to that. However I had a chat with the vestex folks and they are going to do the right thing, however there is no time frame giving on the new vestex gear.

Firstly I'm surprised you got through to Vestax.
Also, I don't think there is a need for anything new from Vestax, better to improve support for existing gear like the VCI-100 before adding to the list.

Damn Skippy! dont add anything just give the vci 100 more balls, more support. this thing is the ultimate backyard, baby shower, little party killer. with this I can setup anywhere and play. Also I can now do gigs that dont pay much because I carry less and dont give a shit.
Vestax needs to put more into the 100 for support and worry a little less about making a new controller already. The 300 is great but cant do videos and is way over priced $899 street price for what???? the 100 has not failed me yet, hey look at Ean Golden he kills the machine. visit www.djtechtools.com

I owned a Vestax VCI-100 but sold it within a couple of weeks. Why? Couldn't simulate real turntable response to hand touch on the decks.
My issue was for the midi mapping of the decks, there was no way to control the variation of actual pressure being applied to the decks a real turntable responses to hand contact. It's was basically on/off, I touch it and the deck stops once my hand pressure reaches the sensitiviy setting of the decks. What I would expect is if I touch a deck I could actually slow the decks in proportion to the amount of hand pressure I apply (up to a complete stop if enough hand pressure is applied). This would have made it similar to a real life turntable, but it was on/off once you apply the necessary amount of hand touch to the deck.
Has anyone produced a VCI-100 mapping that sends a calculated amount to the decks in proportion to the hand pressure applied to the decks?
