Hi DJ's,

I just bought a Sony Vaio CR model with a MIcrosoft Vista (32bit). And I wanna buy a Virtual DJ Software. My friend show me the demo and i'm on 20 days trial on my desktop right now. I'ts so awesome!!! I compaired the Serato to my trial version, WOW Virtual DJ is much way better
What kind of version that I need to buy. What is the difference between Virtual DJ pro and Virtual DJ 5.2 trial version and 5.0 rev 6 (which is my friend has)?

Thanks

As with all trials it has built in limitations. For example the time code in the trial only works for ten minutes. Your friends version is an older version, and as such does not support key detection, or the Camalot key system built into the browser

Ahh ok. If I will buy the VDJ PRO software, what is the new version that I need to buy?

I do appreciate for your response!

Once u purchased, u will obtain the latest V5.2;)

Hope to see u with us soon;)

I read somewhere that the difference between Vista Home Premium and Vista Ultimate is the same as difference between XP Home and XP Pro: Networking stuff and not much else.

Vista Home Premium comes in 32-bit flavor. It's what's coming in my Dell. I made sure to ask the Dell guy if V.H.P was 32-bit.

The big difference is between Vista 32-bit and Vista 64-bit.

On the Microsoft compatability website it states that Virtualdj is compatiblle with Vista 32-bit:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/Details.aspx?type=Software&p=Virtual%20DJ&v=Atomix%20Productions&uid=5&pf=0&pi=0&c=Music%20%26%20MP3&sc=Other&os=32-bit

It states that the "compatability status" of the 64-bit version of Vista is still "unknown" when it comes tio VDJ.

Ultimate is actually Windows Vista bloat edition. It contains all the useful and unuseful additions of the other versions. But to make people feel better for shelling out the extra couple of hundred Microsoft are kind enough to give you a poker game and animated backgrounds, well whoop-dee-doo, that makes it all worth it then. Bitlocker is the only real useful addition, but most users won't touch it anyway and Truecrypt will do for most peoples needs. Remote networking can be accomplished using free software too, you lose Aero but again, who cares?

You're fine to use Home Premium for Virtual DJ, there's no benefit with Ultimate. The main problem with Vista 64-bit is hardware support for DJ controllers which are fairly niche. I'm going 64-bit for my next build but my soundcard for example will not be compatible. I plan to tri-boot with a 32-bit XP anyway.

i'm agreeing w/ wild ......shoulda fixed xp , lose some bloat NOT add bloat

i'm also agreeing w/ renee .....cuz i always agree w/ renee ......

i've decided it's more better to get dissed by renee than loved by 99% of the so called women i know ... it's all deadly

uuuuhhh Fah .......that's a long , long way to run ??

Well, I'm no computer geek, if you read plenty of info, and alot of tweaking guides, you can get Vista, just as good as XP

My new Vista Laptop runs faster and smoother than my old XP laptop. I've them side by side and ran them and I can say Vista beats XP hands down in my eyes.

You just need a machine that can handle Vista, alot that manufactures are still chucking out PC's and Laptop's that are under powered for the Vista, so you can't blame the Vista for that can you.

I don't think I would ever go back to XP now!!!!
