Yes, you can use the inbuilt MIDI or native support to control the xponent. Extra support is included in my mapper which is available to registered users.

SDBJ, How's the Exponent?
Im looking for a "all in one" unit for a second gig (with a laptop), and the Exponent cought my eye. Im also looking at the VCI-300 but its a little expensive.
Thanks!

My current gig its a desktop computer with the denon HC-4500 and a X500 combo. But want to add a new very portable gig.

Thats pretty much what I'm doing, I used to use the Xponent as my primary controller, but am currently using an HC-4500 with an Ecler Evo 5. The Xponent is a good controller with good sized well touch-sensitive jogs which are nice and loose so you can perform spinbacks etc. It's one real drawback is the lack of a microphone input IMHO.
My mapper also allows quite flexible control :)

In my opinion the exponent is real nice my only problem with it was the program it came with. to me the pregram is garbage, don't know how the updated version to it would be but as for now the program is trash. Now that i found out the expponent can midi with virtual i'm very happy because virtual dj is a very good software trust me. I have not midi it as yet because i'm try to get some stuff sorted out but i'm sure when i do it won't dissapoint me.

Download the demo version of Virtual DJ Pro 5.2.
Go to config, remote control, click "Next Page", then right click the Xponent icon, and select activate.
Your xponent will now work in native mode.
To use as a MIDI device (no LED support then however), you need to disable the Xponent control above, and enable "General MIDI" instead. Then use the learning function to map the controls to functions.
My mapper can be used by registered users to provide even more functionality and ease-of-use.

Hey i'm finally getting the torq exponent midi with virtual and it's working well but for some reason i can't seem to get the samples set up in terms of selecting and playing them and also the effects i can't get them set up for some reason. I also need to know how do it hear the music through the headphone, i found out how to select which side i want to hear but i can't seem to hear nothing i would like to know what i have to do to be able to hear the musicon both sides and how to set the head phone cue and and volume. other than that it's working alright jus been hearing a lil distortion i don't know what thats from, maybe you all could let me know.
I LOOK FORWARD TO A RESPONSE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE I HAVE A GIG FRIDAY AND I WOULD LIKE TO USE IT FOR THAT.

The native mapping is not that extensive, my mapper fixes this but is only available to registered users.
The sound needs to be setup in headphones mode in Virtual DJ on the sound tab.

What do you have on the "Sound Setup" tab in the config?
You should have:
Inputs : "None"
Outputs : "Headphones"
Sounds card(s) : "ASIO"
ASIO driver : "M-Audio USB ASIO"
Output Channels : "Master : Chan 1&2 / Headphones : Chan 3&4"

Hello Fellow DJ's & Mixers. I'm a little confused by what I see...
OK- here we go.
Looking at my Config-Info page, It shows I'm using VDJ 5.0 Rev. 6
I see the Free Download is Ver. 5.2
When I click on the CHECK FOR UPDATES, on the Info page, it says my software is up to date?
Don't get me wrong, I'm really NOT having any problems, that I feel I MUST HAVE the newest version, but. Is my software REALLY up-to-date?
OK- here we go.

I would say not, if on the Info page is telling you VDJ 5.0 Rev. 6
I would download VDJ 5.2.1 and install. There have been some new feature's implemented since that version.
