Hi there...
I have been DJ'ing for sometime now and have recently ventured into the computer aspect of it all. .I decided to go cheap for testing purposes and get the Hercules DJ Control MP3 but can't hear the other deck when trying to mix a track. So at many times it is not coming across seemlessly. ( Very aggrivating!!!) Do I need like the DJ IO or another USB Sound Card so that I can hear the other deck on my headphones?????
System:
Win XP Home Media
2GM of RAM

Yes I believe you do.
You heed a USB soundcard 4.1 and above in order to Pre-listen to your next track.

I would say the ESI Maya44, it's about $110 in the US and about £70 in the UK.
It has the inputs and outputs for timecode, if you want to go down that route. I have one and ti's pretty good.
