Just want to say "Thanks" to the people that make VDJ possible...
If it wasn't for VDJ, I would have never had my sunday night. Sunday night was the last hoorah for my father's restaurant, and to say the least I rocked it out. I had so many job offers that night because of the music videos, and the selection of videos, not to mention that I could actually mix them together, the crowd was blown away. Now after that sunday, most of the bar going crowd knows my name, and will be following me around to see what other videos I have up my sleeve.
When I tell you that I was mixing like a champ, i mean I was on FIRE!! Normally i'd consider myself to be a very competant(sp?) DJ, in all areas (Sound quality, song selection, reading a crowd, mixing, scratching, etc) But sunday it was just crazy. I have never seen that many people at the restaurant before, and they were all moving in sync.... it was..............perfect..
Now........................
I just want to say "F*CK YOU" to the evil TCV gods that are blocking me from REALLY using vdj to my fullest potential. Now that one season is done, and I now have a spare laptop with a maya 44 to play around with, i'm going to be doing rigerous checks and balances and trials and errors until I can FINALLY get the thing to do what I want it to do. I will be posting up my findings, and see what I can come up with.
The last time I tried to diagnose this problem, I was closed minded (It must be this, it must be that) but now i'm willing to do anything to get it to work right. I'm even (gulp) willing to install vista if I have to, but i'd MUCH rather not. I am even considering installing ubuntu, and running VDJ off of wine, if thats possible, anything to get it to work.
