OKay I see a lot of you fella's recomending Spandex screens like the one from djscreen.com

So anyone used this particular screen and how was the image under AMBIENT light?

I know the darker the room the better the image, but what about when the Client wants a slideshow during dinner? (Very common around here)

I have a benq 2100 lumines data projector so about middle of the road in terms of projectors.

I've even seen youtube vids of guys using friggen shower curtains. Image was great in a dark room but in ambient lighting the image was washed out and the screen/curtain looked like hell, wrinkles clearly visible, folds, etc.

For those of your that have not seen lineman55's youtube video of how he explains his PCV screen setup I suggest you look in on it.
I'd post the vid but he can sound his own horn :P

@ lineman55

One of the properties of mirrors is that the reflection depth is identical to the image it is reflecting....therefore if you needed a larger image in a shorter space would say placing the projector at say the base of a 12 foot lighting tree a mirror at the top and then the image on a screen approx 3 feet in front of the mirror give a very very large reflection with a short set-up distance?

or are the drugs from my surgery not wearing off yet?

Image vs light conditions is much more impacted by projetcor output that screen material. Jack up those lumens over 3500+, and get the contrast ratio over 1000+. If you want to project in a lit up room, then get the lumens over 5000.

You would have to pull the mirror away from the screen to enlarge your visual with your scenerio. With my setup for small spaces my screen
and mirror sits about 40" apart. The projector sits 30" from the mirror.Mirror size is 20" x 16".Screen size is 38" x 32".If I were to pull back on the projector position the image reflected would enlarge ,and my mirror would also have to be larger. If you were to pull the screen further away your projected pic would also enlarge.By pulling back on the mirror the image from the projector would increase in size and you would need a larger mirror to accomodate the projected size and then of course the pic on the screen would also.
This system was made just right to work for the given space available for me when I do annivarseries, birthdays, slideshows and music videos.
Space here can be tight with the number of people attending. When Im outside on the patio I have the luxury of my DJSCREEN to use.

Did any of this make any sense???? I know I confused my self reading it!:)
