OK I’m looking at a hardly used RMX on ebay. The current owner did register it, so the question is can I still upgrade the software?

i don't think so, it will probably be best if you get a reply and decision from the team, put a ticket in at support/help [top right hand corner of page] you will not get an instant reply as you would expect at this time, so please be patient. do not purchase the rmx until you get a decision from them as i'm sure licenses are not transferable hence no updates will be allowed either.

NO, If the software is registered then any future upgrades for that serial are to that registered user.
If you purchase PRO then you would have the software upgrades and support with it.

once again i don't think so re non transferable license, hopefully chris can step in and confirm this for you. might be best to go the whole hog and get a new unit altogether, would the warranty/guarantee be transferable, check with hercules before you buy, best get a new unit then you know you have all the bases covered, best of luck...
