does the skin being used have anything to do with the quality of proformance you get from the VDJ program.
I like the look of the poineers 1000's skin but im using CDJ C324's since i dont see a skin of those or should i be using the basic skin look

No its all visual but skins do allow you do only use and see what you need, which could make you mix more efficent since everything is all right there for you. It all about preference.

You can use whatever skin you like, and you won't lose any performance out of VirtualDJ,
but you might lose certain features, that appear in one skin and not another, the best way is to play about with some skins till you find the one you like.
