edit: ok, I jumped to the wrong conclusion here from the misleading article title rather than its content sorry. But I don't think the internet will end.

I would expect this will be much like the Y2K deadline.
People will scream about it, then upgrade the servers.
and of course raise ISP service rates.

I got an idea ... all you lazy bastards get off the internet and go outside and throw a frisby around or walk your dog a little more often. :)
Besides all that as the economy is betting so bad none of us will be able to afford the internet in 2010. Welcome to the future! broke rodgers

internet will reach its capasity where soon, reason is that everyone is getting broadband, and there isnt enough bandwidth to support everyone freely streaming huge HQ video content, live feeds etc..
There will be changes for sure soon. We will see more and more content providers charging money for their services, since they again need to pay the ISPs for bandwidth use, more so, than today.
The ISPs seriously needs to build out the internets capasity, but this investment is insanely high, and noone is doing it..
The more dark critics say that internet will crash and go down in 2010.. if the current rate of broadband customers keeps building up.
I believe they will find a solution before that happens... ;) But it will be at a cost.. that the consumers will take in the end

Would it not be better for them to do 1 extra gig so they would then have the money to buy VDJ...then walk the dog with all the extra time you will save now that you don't have to go beggin for "borrowd" passwords!
