Hey guys...hope you're all well in VDJ land.
I've been asked to do a Grease theme night. I was just wondering...does anyone know if it's possible to get the Grease soundtrack on dvd? You know, have all the videos for the songs on a dvd without having to cut them out of the film using some editing program?
I don't really know where to look and a google didn't turn up too much either.
Nice one. Cheers...and keep spinnin'...(",)

I haven't seen a DVD devoted to just the music videos from the movie Grease, there is the Grease Megamix which is available from PromoOnly. But, to get the other songs it is probably easier just to edit them out from the DVD movie release. If you don't have any video editing software download VideoRedo the trial version is limited to 15mins maximum per video edit. However, for most songs your looking at around 5 minutes or less so that shouldn't be an issue.

I've been down this road before and here's what I learned. First I'm also not aware of any DVD release containing just the videos, but if there were you would not want it and this is why.
The original movie's soundtracks are not suitable for playing in a club (in my opinion). The clips are filled with all kinds of background sounds from talking, banging, clanging, bells and whistles. Things that gave the movie a "real feel" sound REAL CRAPPY cranking through a good quality sound system.
So just cutting the clips from the movie is just the beginning, you must replace the audio tracks. The problem is the original video soundtracks do NOT match the original audio soundtracks except for a couple of songs and there's a lot of editing to do in order to get a decent looking video. (I use Sony Vegas)
I really don't think there's enough good clean videos out there to do a whole theme night based on the 1950's.... but good luck with the challenge. :-)

When there is no original vid, maybe you can think about it to make one of your own.
I was looking for some dirty dancing vids, but could not find it all.
Therefore I made it myself:
