A friend of mine told me he uses mixmeister to analyse his bpms of tracks. he told me this is better then virtual dj? is it worth purchasing, or is he being ignorant. is it possibly the same bpm engine being used anyway? the reason i am interested is because quite a few songs I have are incorrect bpm and even when using manual bpm change, can not be corrected.

I haven't had problem with VDJs BPM calculations since the new engine. But, before that I frequently used Mixmeisters'.
Luckily it is a freeware application and is easy on the system resources.

it was acknowledged at one time mixmeister did have better capabilities than vdj but it is thought now vdj has the same or is better than mixmeister,

I think they are about equal at this time. Everything will have a variable.
