I am thinking about getting into some basic uplighting. I was wondering if anyone can tell what I will need, ect. I see all different types of LED par cans with different numbers of leds ect. I see wireless universal controllers. I want to be able to have a master/slave setting, keep them on one color or have them all change at the same time. I dont want to spend alot, just want to get a couple to try. Any suggestions would be great....

Nobody can tell you how many, because nobody works in the same rooms as you.
But a good place to start would be getting a decent DMX controller, some chauvet
colosplash jrs, color pallette, american dj punch, etc. and learning how to program dmx lighting.
It's not hard, just time consuming.

I started with 10 american dj led par 64 PRO. I quickly saw that 10 was not enough and bought 6 more and am getting ready to buy 4 more for a total of 20.
The amount i have can decently cover most rooms but honestly more is better. Other than that a decent DMX controller either hardware or software and tons of cable is all you need. I control my lights wuth compuware pro from elation and i purchased all my cables from here

I know they are not " true DMX cables " But they work just fine.
Good luck, Alex
