Sujet: CDJ's for Timecode... Pioneer the only contender?

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to get some scratching in my gigs in a bigger way, and the Pioneer CDJ's caught my eye... i don't mind the smaller platter compared to vinyl, and overall, I'd really like to go the way of CDJ's over vinyl. However, the Pioneer units (CDJ-800/1000) are both quite expensive. I just have a couple of questions:

1) Are there any CDJ's that are less expensive than these units but that are still serviceable in terms of their ability to scratch effectively? I'm no scratch DJ, but I'd just like a decent solution.

2) If not, although the CDJ-400 is MIDI instead of TCV, how is the scratching functionality?

Thank you in advance.

You can scratch with cheapest cd players if you want.
You only need the TCCDs burned in a good quality cds and an ASIO sound card, like the RMX, and I see you got it.

The CDJ400 is supported by VDJ as an HID device ... which means better than MIDI. :D
