Sujet: VESTAX - 300 Mapper Anyone

Ever since the vestax-300 controller has been released i have had my eyes on it
only problem it was released with serato itch....

This controller seemingly will garner the market in controller for a while, when compared to the pricey NS7. The vestax-300 seems to solve many problems
1. all in one controller with sound card
2. large enough jog wheels for scratching
3. many other midi features
4. Price within reasonable range of users
5. Small enough and great for mobile djers

Is there anyone out there that has created a mapper for the vestax-300. Please let me know
or can this controller become native to vdj in a future update????

Well you know in the "wishes" forum they said they werent ganna map the Vestax 300 any time soon..

damn that will suck if its locked with serato..i really wanted one of these.....
 
the vestax-300 offers a nice controller... it is midi....... therefore it should be mappable
Locked with serato... hmmmmm.. now there's something else (in terms of buying serato itch you mean?)

Man.... this is the controller to use in terms of offerings, mobiliy and at a reasonable price
RMX jog wheels are to small........ NS7 too bulky and too expensive...

there must be way for this to work with vdj

This controller should be worked on vdj wish list mon and given priority... well.. smile.. guess this is one of my wishes
 
It's about time native was added.
 
From a country where my dollar value is 76 to the US dollar
Also purchasing overseas cost money importing. Shipping, Customs the works
Therefore I have to look at best value for my money and make a proper investment.
the vestax-300 is it.. so if there is anyone out there that can make a mapper jpboggis.. anyone else
would really like to see this one given some interest
 
Until native support is added, a proper custom mapper isn't really possible.
 
as mentioned in a few reviews
the only down part is, the lack of controlling (special) effects(video & audio)
too bad ...
vci-100 has them, but is not that precise(jog wheels & pitch) :-(

gotta wait for vci-400 or 500 or ......
maybe numark will come up with something in that size
 
To make a mapper, dont you need to have a VCI 300 first.. If you do.. to spend 899.......
 
It's possible to make a proper native mapper without the actual controller, since all the buttons and lights will be listed in the SDK. Coupled with someone who has the controller, a live remote development is quite easy to do.

MIDI mapping (the XML format) generally requires the controller, or details of it's MIDI configuration.
 
ok... i hear you guys.. 899 for the vestax-300... hmm thats not very cheap i guess
but currently i do timecode cds in my setup..... 2 numark axis 9 CD players... u46dj.. xsession midi controller with fader and a SHUTLE XPC all fitted into a customized case built by one of my friends..

First of all it is big.. takes to person to lift.... and takes up space.

So i want to create a new mobile setup.... and this is where my problem lie. I want to use a laptop along with a controller that at least offers the same size jog wheel as the CD axis 9 which is about the size of a regular CD diameter. something i can probably just pack in a small bag etc and just move with.

secondly i like the fact that VDJ works with the SL1 box.. so i can just use a laptop the card and just connect to the pioneers in most clubs here. But are all the hitches worked out.... I would buy box so i have this option.

I have a dac3 (my initial start).. but i want the same ability to scratch as i would on cd players... and size really does matter in this case. I am not an expert in the field of scratching any at all.. but at least.... my controller should be able to offer me something to use
