what if i donwload virtual dj home edition and my comp crashes or something? do i have to pay another $50 to put it on a different computer? Also so there is no way to scratch on home edition without getting a controller or is there?

No, your license allows up to two installations. If your PC crashes, submit an E-ticket and someone in E-Service will give you instructions on the proper course of action.
 
If you purchase VDJ you can re-download if need be from this site at any time after you register your serial # in your profile.
 
And also don't forget free updates later ;)
 
save a copy to disc for those type of emergencys, keep your serial close but secure, simple enough soloution, hope that helps.
 
i think you can scratch by putting the cursor on the record.
