Sounds like they need a shot of penicillin. That's what happens when you don't use condoms. I would not want any of them to touch me or my equipment, I might get the coodies.

Easy guy's... If you scratch your itch too much, you may end up with a rash!

Yay, someone at Rane screenshotted Serato Scratch and moved things around... You too can be a DJ software maker with photoshop...
It's so obvious that this is to meet VDJ in the market directly, is just a copy function for function. Not impressed.
It's funny though, cuz for 20 years when I hear the word Rane, I think of long haired rockers. It will take them alot of work to change that idea in my head.

"Serato ITCH is an integrated software and hardware solution for digital music selectors and DJs"
They love all that BS about what is and what isn't a DJ, it's such a school boy point.
Having said that, the software looks cool and they know how to put together a good sales pitch (unlike that old friend of ours).

Vestax VCI-300?
"Given that, a couple of years ago we approached a variety of hardware companies about fulfilling the vision we had for ITCH. Vestax were an obvious choice, since their VCI-100 MIDI controller has the right form factor and really just needed the addition of a soundcard to be most of the way to being a fantastic ITCH controller. The result of that development is the VCI-300 launched at the NAMM 2008 show. See www.vestax.com"

Guys, Serato ITCH is actually nothing to laugh about. It's a hardware based no timecode HID/MIDI version of scratch live.
And it will be supported by several controllers, one of them being the new Numark NS7
Check Numarks web-page for more details:http://www.numark.com/ns7
The good thing about it that NS7 will work nativly witt VDJ/Virtual Vinyl/CUE as well...or so I'm told...

No price as of yet, but I do know that it feature 7" platters with the same motor as TTX and the mixer has CP-PRO faders which is the same you will find in the DXMPRO. The whole unit it built in a metal finish and delivered in a case so I don't think it'll be Numark's cheapest product....
I will post more info when I get it ;)

One thing I respect them for is making vynil control only available through the original SSL. Leaving their already stable SSL as is & creating something separate FOR THOSE WHO WANT, not forcing it on everyone.

Why would you respect that?? That means this product could possibly not be of any use to use CUE/VDJ users. That would be a shame!

I'm talking about the software not the hardware. I could care less about controllers. What I'm saying is instead of Serato adding the automix, beatmatching & controller functionality to the original SSL, they've created a separate software(ITCH) for those who want those features and left SSL strictly for TCV users.
