HELL no ! .... he stinks! he he he

He got into the position because an owner of a DJ company who does the local trivia and Karaoke bars heard theres was an opening. The owner was supposed to fill the spot that but has an " emergency " and sent the non experienced person instead. I talk to the entertainment manager yesterday and he was not happy how everything turned out but he is giving the owner one more chance this weekend. I know the owner from past crossings and I know he does not really care about the job just his pocket.

Maybe soon he'll realise there is a strong connection between his pocket and his reputation.

Did your employer have to pay for the 'emergency' guy?

Yes he did.. Because it appears that some employees liked him and because he played every hit song by the end of the night people were happy, which goes to show you. Any monkey can DJ but it takes skill to make it an art and pleasurable experience. The average person has no clue about being entertained as long as he/she hears the song. During a great show, he doesn't realize he's being told what to do.

Like hypnosis. " you are having a good time, you will dance to the next song without realizing it" " You will get a drink when the DJ is ready to get you off the dance floor "

"...which goes to show you. Any monkey can DJ..."
That bodes well for me. LOL

Yeah, and I was thinking of the whole "monkey, banana = food" thing...Leave it to a fat guy...When evolution came around I thought they said revolution and wanted no part of it. I'm an idiot!

@fatkatz

Thanks for the advice you gave me earlier(although it is useless).I made a post and some people want to mock me that's fine and i will react as i wish. Your advice is great but really not for me but you can continue to give it to others if you wish but please keep my user name out of your posts is all i ask(pretend i don't exist)and please don't reply to me because(you really won't exist to me either).

I think i've made myself clear enough.

Thanks and have a great day.

What the hell are you talking about. Your only post on this topic said "Ya" that was the only one I have found. I think you should take a step back and see that these people have a sense of humor and are in no way picking on anyone. Relax

it was from another post that got locked before i could reply

Anyone can play a good song but not anyone can keep the crowd on the dance floor all night. Ive seen many wack and i mean wack djs that cant mix or follow up on the crowd. When i start dj ying, i start out by playing good songs then i play better then go into my best folder to hype up the crowd at that moment. When i play at a gig, i feel the crowd get loose and i control it from the selection of my music. My advise is to practice your blends and to play many genres. Mix up all of them like a master mix. The more genres you can mix, the better dj you will be.

Just because song is good, it doesnt mean its the right moment to throw it in. I play my selections based on the maximum results that i seen. I dont settle for only a few people dancing. I only settle for most of the crowd dancing.

I play Hip Hop, reggae, R & B, Salsa, Merengue, bachata, Reggaeton, House, dance, latin House, Freestyle, Pop, Alternative, Rock, Spanish Rock, Cumbia, Techno, Disco, & many more.

If anyone lives in New York and and wants to learn take control of the dance floor to next level, give me a hollar.

yo cali where do u dj at in ny?

Right now i am not dj ying in clubs. Im just keeping busy doing mobile gigs. In a few months ill get back into the club scene
