There was a TV programme in the 80's, Called Hi De High,
About a holiday camp called Maplins Holiday camp (basically taking the piss out of the really life holiday camps called Butlins, here in the UK).
They greeted all there guest's (in the programme) with the catch phase "Hi de high campers"

I have never heard the term life, when referring to updates. I don't think the company has ever said that. You never know what will happen. What we can say is all updates have been free, since the beginning of time, and there are no plans to change that, at the moment. Just don't quote me on that.

Sorry, I don't think I quoted you correctly!!!!

Cue or numark virtual vinyl doesnt control the Denon Hc4500 natively. It has a Midi feature in the remote controll section

Hello All,
I had recently bought the CUE LE with Total Control (TC). In discussion with VDJ technical staff, I gathered that I can use the VDJ V5.0.7 with TC, but I am having porblem with it, evey time I plug the TC my VDJ freezees up and so does my lap top.
Any hints will be much appreciated.

Did you try loading VDJ with no NTC then going in config> controllers> activating NTC >
Making sure all sliders and knobs are responding to movement.
If that doesn't work do the above then back out of vdj with everything activated ( make sure you give a couple of secods for the data to write ) then load VDJ againg try it.
What are your lappy specs

Thanks for the hints.
I had done exactly what you have suggested (Loading VDJ with no TC) then activating TC using the Remote Controls Tab in the Setting Options.
It's so puzzling, as soon as I unplug the TC the VDJ program runs again.
Here are the specs on my lap top
HP (2006 model) with 2.0 GB RAM and 75 GB of Memory. I am running WINDOWS XP. Also, all my songs are stored on a portable drive.

I just thought about this... Do you have a Power USB hub. Sometimes the USB ports cannot produce enough power to power controller and external. Many here use a power USB HUB so to not use the computers power to run everything.

Great suggestion, my controller comes with an AC adaptor I will try that.
My songs are on a separate Powered USB.

Hi Caliente123 and/or anybody else that has had this issue,
For what I understand in your post....it's possible to use the HC4500 with CUE....is that correct?
I'm expecting my HC4500 next week and just realized that CUE doesn't have native support for it....I would really like to avoid having to purchase VDJ, pretty much again, just for the controller to work.
What are the steps I must do in order to activate the HC4500 with CUE ? Would it work just like it does with VDJ ? I really hope you say "Yes"...otherwise I'll be very pissed off with Numark...although they blame Denon for not having native support....
Thanks man...ap

Cue and VDJ are the same program just with a different marketing company.

Well, that's what I always thought.....However, I just discovered that Numark doesn't support the DN-HC4500...I missed that part in all the forums I read before buying the unit. I think it has something to do with marketing on either Numark's part or Denon. They keep throwing the ball back to each other though...Denon says it's Numark who decided to remove the controler from the program, and then Numark says it was Denon who requested its removal. I don't know what to believe at this point...but the fact of the matter is that apparently the controller is not supported.
So if anyone knows the way around this issue and/or has successfully mapped the HC4500 to work with CUE ( including VFD displays )...please speak out ( or PM me directly ) and help a brother out....I don't see why I should have to buy the VDJ Pro version ( an extra $299 ) just to be able to use this controller when I was told this were the exact same program to begin with.
Any constructive suggestions ( other than: "buy VDJ" ) will be welcomed.

Numark CUE/VV and PCDJ VJ are the same CORE as VirtualDJ (powered by VirtualDJ). However; based on agreed upon features between these companies and Atomix - you will find there are features not in the alternative branded versions. With regard to CUE vs VDJ - the Denon issue is a great example (if you think about it - it is a competition thing between the 2 companies with controllers - naturally they will point the finger at each other). With regard to VJ vs VDJ, it is more in the application features not controllers and since PCDJ has a strong marketing plan with Denon (specifically the HC-4500) it is in all their products (VJ, DEX, Reflex).
