PADS - SAMPLER

Press the SAMPLER button to set the PADs to Sampler mode (Led will be lit in orange color).

Each one of the 8 pads triggers a sample from the selected Sampler Bank of VirtualDJ. If a bank has less than 9 samples, both sides of the DDJ-SX3 will control the same samples. If a bank has more than 8 samples, the left side of the DDJ-SX3 will control samples 1 to 8 and the right side samples 9 to 16. The PAD will be lit if a sample slot is loaded and will blink if triggered.
Press the pads to trigger a sample. Depending on the selected trigger Pad mode, use SHIFT and the same pads to stop the sample.

By default the Samples will play at a volume designated by the strength that the Pad is pushed (Velocity).
You can choose from 2 kind of Velocity, (Normal and After Touch) from the unit's Settings (read Pioneer's manual) along with the curve of the Velocity. This functionality can be turned on/off by pressing the SAMPLER mode button for at least 2 seconds (long press). The led of the SAMPLER button will be red when velocity is turned off and orange if turned on. The selection is saved and will be remembered across sessions.
